Lightroom Classic for Beginners – An Interactive Online Workshop

The fee for the workshop is $100
This course is a ‘hands on’ instructional workshop, designed to get users familiar with the key features of the Lightroom Classic CC Software for processing their images.
It is designed for beginners. Experienced users who want comprehensive review of the Lightroom functionality may want to attend as well, and users of other editing software such as Photoshop Elements users who are considering switching to Lightroom.
We will cover the User Interface, important settings and functions in the Library and Develop modules, as well as, learn how to export our processed images to social media and to others through email, etc.
Specific areas which will be covered include:
- The User interface and workspace panels.
- The importance of certain preference settings and a brief discussion of how the ‘catalog’ works, including ‘Sidecars’ for raw files.
- How to import images into Lightroom.
- How to Organize, use catalogs, rate images, search for and select images for processing.
- Basic use of the Develop module to ‘post process’ images.
- Exporting images from Lightroom.
Prerequisites: In order to get the most out of this workshop attendees should have a working copy of Lightroom Classic, current version preferred, installed on their computer.

The class will be held using the Zoom meeting system with each student able to interact with the instructor and the rest of the class. The class will be limited to 8 people to ensure that all questions are answered.
Unlike many other on-line workshops, our interactive workshops are designed to emulate a classroom environment, the students can work along with the instructor, ask questions and have the instructor see and assist them.
Prior to the start of the workshop each student receives a Workbook and a set of images used in the class, as well as, instructions on how access the online class.
You will receive and registration form / invoice which is to be paid via PayPal or Credit Card. Once payment is received, you will be sent instructions on how to join the class and the class material package. Payments are refundable, less a $4 processing fee, prior to 24hours before the start of class.
